Minimizing. It’s been nice to scale back, only keeping what is essential. I have discovered that there is not much I currently need. Having much does not bring happiness or security. It just creates clutter. I have determined in my heart what I really need for now. The rest is unnecessary, even unhealthy. I thought it might be hard to part with some things. I was wrong. Many things I have given away and feel good about it. It’s been refreshing to let go. Time is fleeting; I want it to be productive or meaningful. The things I enjoy doing should be beneficial and offer some value back to me. It takes some discipline but it is not very difficult to just utilize what I need and enjoy what I have. And I have plenty. For a long time, I’ve always wanted more. But my desires were often not in sync what I truly needed. They still aren’t but I’m working on it. I have enough for now. There is nothing I lack.
